Mark Bergin - Creative Director
Courage is the root of all creative projects, courage of the sponsor, courage of the project team and courage of the creative team. design100 celebrates courage through 10 design awards programs. All programs are marketplace centric and offer an opportunity to recognise those that are defining tomorrow. When I'm not advocating or celebrating design, I work as an adviser to projects on the client side, providing expert input on how to structure projects, develop creative ideas and engage the best of market suppliers to deliver exceptional project outcomes. At the heart of my work is a focus on experience design. Always with one simple question - are we making something that is Made for People?

topJoe Distefano - Head of Operations
Joe has been working professionally in the online industry for over 12 years. His involvement started even earlier while In advertising. He was one of the first to win an award for the newly included interactive/multimedia category at the MADC awards. His work has crossed many streams; design, development, strategy, information architecture, as well as various disciplines including eCommerce, Corporate/Branding sites, CRM software, Intranet. He has been encouraged by the growth of mobile not simply because of the new form factors, but of the challenges it creates in how we communicate with our Users.

Erik Rathmayr - Community / Social Media
My journey in the online marketing world started in 2000 with designing and hand coding websites. Since then I have been involved in major projects here in Australia and Europe. My experience matured as the internet matured through a number of different technologies such as the changing face of html & CSS standards, Flash programming (remember Flash?), the importance of search engine optimisation, CMS systems, User experience strategy, plus the management of online communities and social medial exposure across a number of platforms.

An experienced software developer, database expert and development team lead. A passion for the commercial application of software such that it meets the agreed criteria of quality, timeliness and cost. Inspired by the continual evolution of development languages and social media platforms, as education of the latest trends has the tangible benefit of enhanced computer system interaction for the end user.
Technical team lead and software developer with an emphasis on all layers of the application stack. Acknowledges the impacts of technology on business and the importance of user acceptance and end user satisfaction.

WHAT PAST WINNERS ARE SAYING
REA Group: When we entered the awards, our realestate.com.au mobile apps had been downloaded over 1.2 million times (now over 2 million!) and our latest updates had received great feedback from consumers.
