Project Marketing
TVPlayer developed a loyal fan base through a variety of Marketing and PR activities from launch.
TVPlayer was promoted in the App Store through homepage promotion and was also featured in an editorial feature ‘Best apps for a Friday’ night, which successfully resulted in TVPlayer reaching #1 position in the App Store.
Engaging with fan bases of TV shows available on TVPlayer is key. We have also kept the social media platforms fresh with original and show content, as well as offering a variety of competition giveaways across Facebook and Twitter from well-known brands including Lucky Voice and Nail Rock. One of our most successful campaigns to date was to giveaway away a hamper of Cadbury’s Easter Eggs for Easter weekend!
TVPlayer has since promoted itself through a number of consumer marketing initiatives, seeding competitions and securing editorial coverage which has included Stuff Magazine, The Debrief, Apps Magazine, Shortlist and Zoo Magazine. We also secured a full page advert in Loaded Magazine through a contra advertising deal.
Trade and Consumer PR was generated through a press announcement about the launch of the apps, as well as announcing new channels that are being added to the TVPlayer app.
Project Privacy
TVPlayer requires no login or sign-up so we do not currently capture people’s user details on the platform.
