Nominations - Education & Family

Caribu - Caribu

Education & Family

- Winner

Turn a video call into story time! Caribu is a free iPad app that brings the family together wherever they are, by letting kids and their loved ones read beautiful picture books together through a video call.

Birdsong - Locassa

Education & Family

Finalist

As a creative team we tend to see the world differently, in fact Birdsong came about after one member of the team declared that the birds sitting on the nearby telegraph wires looked like musical notes on a stave. That small idea grew into something large and brought a lot of laughter and enjoyment to the Locassa offices as we set out to create bags of character from nothing but mere animated pixels.

Sketchpad Space - Codegent

Education & Family

Finalist

Sketchpad Space from Kizzu is an iPad drawing app for toddlers and preschoolers which teaches children the fundamental techniques of drawing, such as sketching and lining. By teaching children the underlying drawing techniques used by real artists, they soon develop the skills needed to draw any object they like, while improving vocabulary and learning about the Solar System that they live in.
