My Poppy - News International / Pocket App

Pocket App was approached by News International and The Sun Newspaper, to design and develop a donation app as part of its Remembrance Day Poppy Appeal campaign with the Royal British Legion. The ‘My Poppy’ app utilised SMS to enable users to donate £2 to the cause at the tap of a button. After donating, users received their own digital poppy that could be shared via in-built social sharing options. A microsite was also developed in order to demonstrate the number of downloads via an interactive poppy field as well as information pages about the Royal British Legion.

Mercy Ships - HR and Recruiting Application - Mercy Ships / OutSystems

Each year Mercy Ships utilises the services of more than 1600 volunteers from more than 40 nations. Today, thanks to OutSystems Platform, prospective volunteers are able to submit their applications the same day, something that was previously next to impossible. Prospective volunteers now take an average of between one and two hours to complete an application, while some are able to complete the form in just 30 minutes, depending on the position for which they are applying. Thanks to OutSystems, Mercy Ships has seen a 20 percent increase in volunteer registrations for the charity in just two months.
